In an interview with Arabic content Creator BoJrayed of ALHub, Yamaoka teased he may have something to announce sometime in the summer of 2021 that fans of his work are hoping to hear about. Now, it seems that Yamaoka may have another announcement to make during 2021 that could involve the games industry and even Silent Hill. Recently, Yamaoka was brought on to write music for The Medium on Xbox Series X and PC, which was a high point of praise in many of the reviews leading up to release.
